Durban City v Stellenbosch tips: draw stands out
Draw @2.00 at Hollywoodbets (profit odds, stake excluded) is our selection. Durban City and Stellenbosch each drew four of their first eight league matches, and both have scored only five goals. Their latest league performances contained enough chances to threaten, but not enough finishing to make either an attractive win selection.

City created chances without repairing the damage
Durban City fell 2-0 behind to AmaZulu before half-time. Mondli Mbanjwa and Athini Maqokola both scored after deliveries from the right, exposing a problem Stellenbosch will have noted.
City had openings of their own. Ethan Brooks tested Olwethu Mzimela, while Jean Lwamba headed over from Bandile Shandu's cross shortly before the second AmaZulu goal.
Haashim Domingo's free kick brought City back to 2-1. A late diving header from Letsie Koapeng required another Mzimela save, and Alou Doumbia volleyed narrowly wide.
The loss therefore contained more attacking promise than a simple scoreline comparison suggests. The difficulty was turning those chances into a second goal, something City's five-goal league total has made a recurring concern.

Stellenbosch found an opening at FNB
Sinoxolo Kwayiba struck the post against Chiefs before scoring from Terrence Mashego's setup three minutes into the second half. Mashego's work earned him the man-of-the-match award.
That left-sided supply is particularly interesting after the problems City had defending deliveries in the AmaZulu match. Stellenbosch have a recent example of creating a clear scoring chance away from home rather than simply defending for a draw.
They could not hold the lead at FNB. Mduduzi Shabalala equalised ten minutes later, and both teams pursued a winner without finding one.
Sage Stephens had also saved a first-half chance from Wandile Duba. Stellenbosch's point came through contributions at both ends, with the goalkeeper helping preserve the opportunity to take the lead.
Eight draws between them in the league
After eight league games, both teams had four draws and five goals scored. Stellenbosch had conceded five to City's seven, which gives the visitors the stronger defensive record but not an obvious scoring advantage.
City's sole league win sits alongside three defeats, while Stellenbosch have two wins and two losses. That makes the visitors slightly more convincing overall without creating a strong case for them to win at Chatsworth.
The draw fits two sides that have frequently stayed close without finding a decisive second goal. A 1-1 type of contest suits the available evidence better than expecting either attack to take sustained control.
The selection is the draw itself, not a correct-score bet. The argument concerns the balance of the teams rather than requiring a precise number of goals.
Wide deliveries are the main danger
Mashego's supply and Kwayiba's finishing gave Stellenbosch a lead at Chiefs. If City defend those situations as poorly as they defended AmaZulu's first-half attacks, the visitors can win this rather than share the score.
City's late chances against Usuthu provide the opposite risk. Domingo's set-piece ability and Koapeng's aerial threat can decide a game in which both defences have otherwise limited open-play opportunities.
Neither side has shown enough consistent league scoring to make those possibilities stronger than the draw. We expect both to have chances without one taking a clear advantage.

Verdict
Back the draw in normal time. The matching five-goal attacking totals and four league draws apiece support a close contest, with neither side's latest performance settling the case for an outright win.
