Bet up to R500 on any Springboks Rugby Championship fixture at Betfred between 22 August and 12 September. If Rassie's side loses, Betfred refunds your stake as a free bet, up to R500. Straight loss-back on the biggest series of the season.
Betfred has pinned this promo to the four remaining Springboks Tests: Ellis Park is already in the books, Cape Town on 29 August, FNB Stadium on 5 September and the Baltimore closer on 12 September. New Zealand took the opener, so there are three real chances to trigger the refund if you back the Boks and it goes wrong.
How the risk-free bet works
Every qualifying pre-match wager on a Boks Rugby Championship fixture is covered. Stake up to R500 on the Springboks in a supported market, and if the result goes against them Betfred refunds the stake as a free bet. Win the bet and everything settles normally with cash returns. There is no cap on wins, just on the refund.
The refund lands as a bonus token, not cash. It expires seven days from credit. Free bet winnings go to the main wallet with 1x rollover on the returns, which is the cleanest rollover any SA book runs on a refund token this month.
Which markets qualify
- Match Result (three-way, Springboks side)
- Handicap on the Springboks
- Total Points on the fixture
- First-Half Result on the Springboks
- Winning Margin bands on the Springboks
Same-game multis, player-props and in-play bets do not qualify. Neither do bets settled by an early cash-out.
The Tests still worth using it on
- Cape Town, 29 August at DHL Stadium. The wound-lick response Test. Boks favourites at home, price will be shorter than Ellis Park.
- FNB Stadium (Soccer City), 5 September. First rugby international at the venue. High-altitude crowd game; Boks price shorter still.
- Baltimore, 12 September. The dead-rubber-or-decider tour closer. Price depends on the series state on the day.
How to claim
- Log in to Betfred or register with the Betfred promo code NEWBONUS.
- Open the Rugby Championship fixture on the pre-match card.
- Back the Boks in a qualifying market with a real-money stake up to R500.
- If the Boks lose, the refund credits within 24 hours of full-time.
- Use the free bet on any sport inside 7 days, then withdraw the winnings.
The rules that matter
- One qualifying stake per fixture per punter. Multiple Boks bets on the same Test only cover the first one.
- The R500 cap is on the refund, not the stake. Bet R750 and lose, and only R500 comes back.
- Cash-out kills the qualification. Don't cash out early if you want the safety net.
- FICA-verified accounts only. Sort this out before match day.
- Refund is a token, not cash. Full T&Cs on the Betfred promotions page.
