The match moves faster than the bet slip

Live betting means placing a bet after an event has started. The price, available markets and match situation can all change between opening the slip and receiving confirmation.

A score on screen is useful context, but the market name and settlement rules still decide what you are betting on.

Check what the market measures

A full-match total and a total for the remaining period are different bets. Read whether the selection includes what has already happened.

  • Confirm the event and current period.
  • Read whether the market covers the whole match or only a named segment.
  • Check whether extra time is included.
  • Check whether the displayed odds are still available on the final slip.

Price changes need a decision

At decimal odds of 2.20, a winning R50 single returns R110. At 1.90, the same stake returns R95.

Those are hypothetical prices. The R15 difference shows why accepting changed odds should be a deliberate choice, rather than a default you overlook.

Expect suspensions and delays

In-play markets can be suspended around important events. A broadcast or stream can also lag behind play, so the picture you are watching may not match the operator's current price.

Wait for the bet's acceptance message. If a request is rejected, do not assume that repeatedly submitting it will preserve the first price.

Don't turn every attack into another bet

A match offers repeated opportunities to open a slip. Set a spending limit for the session, including every bet that is still unsettled.

If an early selection loses, the next market is not a recovery fund. Increasing the stake simply increases the money at risk.

Keep the accepted bet

The useful record contains the market, selection, accepted odds, stake and reference number. It is more useful in a settlement query than a screenshot of an earlier price.

Use the odds guide if the return is unclear. If the decision feels rushed, leave the slip unconfirmed.
